The Hunting Ground
From the team behind THE INVISIBLE WAR, comes a startling exposé of rape crimes on U.S. campuses, institutional cover-ups and the brutal social toll on victims and their families. Weaving together verité footage and first-person testimonies, the film follows survivors as they pursue their education while fighting for justice — despite harsh retaliation, harassment and pushback at every level.

Julia Cushing, Prevention Educator Intern at Rape Victim Advocates.
She has her undergraduate degree in Social Welfare and Justice and is currently getting her Master’s in Social Work at the University of Chicago. She began working with Rape Victim Advocates back in September and loves her job on RVA’s Education and Training Team, particularly working with young children having discussions about body autonomy, consent, relationships, gender roles and boundaries. Julia’s passion for violence prevention is largely informed by her experiences working with women experiencing homelessness and seeing the correlation between homelessness and experiences of sexual/domestic violence. For self-care, Julia loves to cook, try new restaurants, play tennis and taking weekend trips to visit friends who are spread out all over the country.
